The link that I would like to share on earthquakes is for the 1964 Alaskan earthquake. This 3 minute video is really dramatic with great narration and video filming (it can be viewed or downloaded). It was a 9.2 magnitude earthquake. My favorite part was when the animation showed the plates rebounding . It is really well done! I highly recommend it. In 3 minutes it is amazing to learn so much about this earthquake.
The website also has a few reflection questions for student discussions, a background knowledge section, and a place to get the standards for different grades that relate to the video.
