A Glacier Simulation

I like this simulation  (from PhET at the University of Colorado)
 because it shows so many of aspects of glaciers.  Students can alter the snow fall and temperature and see how that affects the glacier (including the zones of accumulation and ablation).  They can also see how end morraines are formed.  I like all the little tools one can use to examine how the ice within the glacier is moving or changing, especially the drill.  I might use this link after reading the article I linked above about Anchorage’s water supply, to look at what stage the Eklutna glacier is in and what that means for Anchorage.
