Alaskan Glacier Quakes?

What?? That’s what I said when I read that.   But what NASA and the USGS are  reporting  is that as glaciers are rapidly melting in southern Alaska they are lightening the load on Earth’s crust, allowing tectonic plates to move more freely.   This sounds like it is producing a rebound effect similar to what occured in the last ice age, which we read about in our book.
