Interactive Rock Cycle Animation

Interactive Rock Cycle Animation

I found this animation to be particularly interesting because not only does it show the usual depiction of how each type of rock is formed (using the volcano, body of water, etc.) but at each stage of rock formation, students can click on the graphic and learn a few more details about what is going on.   Also, I really like that it doesn’t use sound, so if one student wants to use the classroom computer to access this animation, it won’t be distracting to the other students (or if all students are using it, there won’t be 20+ computers playing the same soundtrack at one time!)
