www.weather.com

This is the website for the Weather Channel.   It has new pictures and video everyday, which correspond to the weather going on around the country – well mostly the lower 48.   But its a good way to connect Earth Science to current events.   The major drawback is that each video comes with a short commercial and I don’t know how to get around them.

With the particular video below I would use it during a unit on waves.   I might have the students write a brief explanation of what caused the wave as an exit pass.
